April 14 – Heywood’s Heroes’ Rehearsal

First full rehearsal for the new trio with Mike Vishnick on drums and Chris Mottram-Wooster on bass. Apart from some gigs with The Quirky, this is the first time I’ve had anything less than a four piece band for doing this kind of material. We try out a variety of songs with a range of complexity to see what kind of noise we can make. The whole thing goes pretty well but I recorded the whole thing on my Zoom R16 (using the internal mics) so I can listen back to it.

The repertoire will be a mix of rock and pop from the second half of the last century mixed in with some approriate original maertial. I’m now confident enough that I’m can go out and get some paid gigs for the band. Still need to sort out the photography and image stuff tho’.
